Reduced χ² as a function of fitting interval start date for two different bands. While the exact value differs for the two, the general shape of the curve is the same for these bands as well as the majority of the other 5-nm bands. For both, the minimum reduced χ² occurs during 2011, showing that models including 2011 solar data tend to perform better than 2010- or 2012-based models.
