An example of application of the non-linear filter described in the text. Left panel (a): one snapshot of the magnetic field component B x of the time series. The vertical stripped pattern due to seeing conditions is clearly visible. Right panel (b): the same field after application of the non-linear filter for one pixel width anomalies (Naudy & Dreyer 1968). The vertical stripes observed in the original data are effectively removed.
