(a) The distribution of measured rotation periods for the non-KOIs in our sample, (b–d) predicted distributions based on TRILEGAL population synthesis for the Kepler field combined with gyrochronology relations from Barnes (2007) (b), Mamajek & Hillenbrand (2008) (c), and Angus et al. (2015) (d). All of the gyrochronology relations, when applied to the TRILEGAL sample, underpredict the number of slow rotators in the sample.
