Table 1

Trends related to the emission peak altitude estimate on the map, for each dataset and energy distribution. The estimate is considered correct when the value of the emission peak altitude is equal to the value given by the ALIS measurements with a precision lower than the VER altitude resolution (2.5 km). This table is associated with Figures 11 and 12. More explanations can be found in Section 4.4. *The acronym q.m corresponds to a quasi-monoenergetic distribution.

Emission peak altitude Dataset 1 – Maxw Dataset 1 – q.m* Dataset 2 – Maxw Dataset 2 – q.m*
% correct estimate 79.2% 70.7% 10.5% 67.2%
% under estimation 4% 1% 4.6% 16.5%
% over estimation 16.8% 28.6% 84.9% 16.3%

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
