The six spacecraft (S/C) are launched using two Ariane 5 rockets, two sets of three spacecraft. After launch the spacecraft are separated and travel toward Venus for a gravity assist maneuver (GAM). After the GAM the spacecraft will be parked into two orbits and will from thereon reach their final orbit, a Venus orbit with 60° separation between each spacecraft.
