Distance matrix for 2011 data set using the averaged absolute VTEC differences as a metric shown in a 2-dimensional color rendering in which red and blue represent, respectively, large and small distance between two data points. The most visible variations in the distance matrix, i.e., low values between data from June to September and high values between data from October to December, are most likely due to variations in geomagnetic activity levels.
