Three consecutive images taken from 29–31 January 2017 in (a), (b), and (c) demonstrate the short-term stability of CHIMERA's segmentation and tracking abilities. A large geo-effective CH (CH1) is present transversing the central meridian which caused a minor (Kp5o) geomagnetic storm. Mid-term stability is demonstrated in (d), a normalized plot of six randomly selected CH areas compared to their centroid longitude.
