R² and $R_c^2$ correspond to the fit correlation coefficient and its threshold value. A_> and A_< correspond to the positive and negative areas of the integrated TEC in the interval [T_i, T_f]. The flow finishes when the potential EPB has been considered as significant or not, and the procedure would continue by detecting new potential EPBs from the TEC time series.
