EPB detection algorithm flow diagram. The flow starts when the potential EPB has been bounded in time [Ti, Tf] according to the thresholds for σ(TEC″(t)) and the HDT condition. R2 and correspond to the fit correlation coefficient and its threshold value. A> and A< correspond to the positive and negative areas of the integrated TEC in the interval [Ti, Tf]. For more details see Appendix A. The flow finishes when the potential EPB has been considered as significant or not, and the procedure would continue by detecting new potential EPBs from the TEC time series.
