The figure demonstrates a comparison between the numerical SAA proton flux (panels A and B) and the output results of the AP8MAX model (panel C) of Stassinopoulos et al. (2015), showing the E > 100 MeV proton flux at 800 km altitude for both years 1960 and 2010, in addition to the AP8 model results (panel D) of Zou et al. (2015), showing the E > 70 MeV proton flux contours at Longitude = −55 deg.
