Comparison of the predicted probabilities of SEP detection per PROSPER’s mode of operation for all cases included in Table 5, for each integral energy of interest (i.e., E > 10−; E > 30−; and E > 100 MeV). In each panel, the red histogram represents the outputs of PROSPER based on SF data, the blue histogram represents the outputs of the model based on CME data, and the green histogram represents the outputs of the model based on both SF & CME inputs. In the upper panel, the horizontal line represents the threshold above which most SEP prediction modules would issue a notification for a forthcoming SEP event – see details in Table 1 of Anastasiadis et al. (2017).
